Rex was listed on the Singapore Exchange’s (SGX) Catalist in July 2013 with high public interest, as it was one of two upstream oil & gas companies to be added to the bourse during a time when locally listed oil & gas companies were mainly in the downstream or offshore & marine sectors.

The Company has been committed to corporate governance from the start, guided by its continuing sponsor then who, as an intermediary between Rex and the exchange, advised on listing rule matters, disclosure standards and governance considerations. Even after its transfer to the SGX Mainboard in 2022, Rex continues to engage its former sponsor as corporate advisor on compliance, disclosure and governance-related matters, maintaining the Company’s focus on compliance and corporate transparency.

  • Rex makes timely disclosures via SGXNet, including announcements, press releases, annual reports, sustainability reports and qualified person’s reports. In 2025, the Company issued more than 60 announcements and press releases. From January to mid-May 2026, the Company has already issued the same number of announcements and press releases as in the entire previous year.

  • The abovementioned information, including the Company’s policies, are also readily accessible on Rex’s corporate website: https://www.rexih.com

  • Over the years, the Company has also sought to provide at least 28 days of notice for its general meetings, as part of its approach to shareholder communication.

  • In the 2025 Singapore Governance and Transparency Index (SGTI), Rex ranked 89th out of 467 SGX-listed companies, with a score of 81.3 compared to the market average score of 70.91, placing it in the top 19% of companies assessed in the index. The SGTI is a widely referenced benchmark that assesses the governance and transparency practices of SGX-listed companies. It also evaluates areas such as board responsibilities, shareholder rights, ESG and accountability to promote high market standards. The Company’s consistent performance in the index over the years underscores its continued emphasis on disclosure quality and governance practices within its reporting framework.

As governance expectations continue to develop, questions around disclosure quality, board oversight and regulatory accountability will continue to evolve alongside them. At Rex, we are committed to strengthening oversight and internal processes to ensure that we continue to comply with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
